For the first time since we opened in October, we’re taking a short break for the rest of May to rest and reset for summer. We will be closed on Saturday the 23rd and the 30th.

We can’t wait to see you in June and serve up delicious bread and treats all summer long! 🌼

A little glimpse at life on the farm lately.

This is the highlight reel. I don’t have photos of the bad days where I felt super crummy, or the nearly dead gosling, the frustrating experiences as a business owner, or the hard days as a mom (let’s be real, it’s everyday). The hard stuff is all real too and happening all the time, it’s just not very photogenic.

Instead I’ll share the baby call ducks that arrived today, a fresh baked loaf from my new oven, and a variety of other sweet moments as a momma, baker, and farmer.

This is especially true if you…
-need help managing pests like slugs and snails in your garden
-want a plentiful supply of highly nutritious and delicious eggs
-need some w**d control
-would enjoy watching ducks frolic around your homestead

My favorite breed is runner ducks because they are amazing foragers, excellent layers, and come in a wide variety of colors. These 6 babies were home bred and went to their new family today. Send me a message if you are local to San Diego and are looking for some ducklings.

Important note: please do not buy a duckling just because it’s adorable without a plan for long term care. They need companionship from their own species, require a specific diet and environment, protection from predators, and live up to 10 years, so purchase responsibly 🤗
