Wabash Elks Lodge member Dr. Daniel Patrick Roland, 75, died at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

A memorial mass will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 188 W. Sinclair, Wabash.

Friends may call 3-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be in Falls Cemetery at a later date.

Members of the Wabash Elks Lodge 471, and other volunteers, gathered Saturday morning to pack and help distribute Christmas food baskets to 161 families from around Wabash County.

The Lodge also provided Thanksgiving food baskets to 161 families in November.

The food was paid for through an Elks National Foundation grant, along with contributions from the Lodge.

their virtues written upon the tablets of love and memory. Memorial Sunday is December 5th when we remember those who come no longer.

Please call the lodge at 260-563-2081 between 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday to provide information to be added to the list. The Lodge has a limited number of meals available. The Wabash Elks Lodge No.471, in conjunction with The Paper of Wabash County, sponsored the third annual Veterans Day Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday evening.
The food was provided and prepared by The Paper, while the venue was donated by the Elks.
Veterans received a free meal, while others could eat for a free-will donation.
In all, about 60 meals were served, and $280 were received in donations. Those funds were donated to the Wabash Elks' veteran service fund.
