Storming Crab in Fort Wayne
Highly Recommend for seafood cravings.
Last night we ventured out into the wild with a craving for seafood. We just so happened to land at the Storming Crab on Coliseum Blvd. In Fort Wayne. This was our first time and we got there around 4pm. It wasnt full yet, but by 5 or 6pm it was completely full and people waiting outside to get in.
The atmosphere was incredible. Some sand on the floor have it a feeling of being near a coast. Signatures covered every square inch: walls, pillars, crabs, seats. It was really cool and you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of your neighbor's.
Pricing was as expected, typical for a seafood location away from the coast charging market price. They had a decent selection of appetizers and every table was served this cheesy garlic bread. We ordered the stuffed jalapeño poppers. Nothing exciting about the appetizers. Just what you would expect, nothing really "seafood" or special.
The dinner combos were massive. We probably should have split one. Pricing was anywhere from $33 to almost $100 per plate. They had anything you could want: crab, lobster, mussels, shrimp. All options served with corn and smoked sausage. You had a choice of 4 different flavors: house cajun, old bay butter, garlic butter or plain. Then finally you decide how hot you like it: Medium, hot, very hot, and something you shouldn't be able to eat hot.
In the end, we were stuffed. We satisfied our seafood cravings. We brought some home, which they bad up all the butter and spices. So I plan to mix that all with white rice.
Highly recommend!
