I was invited to talk vermiculture to 5th graders. 1 Friday, 6 classes, 30 minute sessions, 1000 worms 🪱.Can you believe all the possibilities, lots of eww! Many named their worms, some dropped their worms, some traded, some passed on touching but when I tell you my most memorable moment!
Keira & Re*****on brought me their orange peels from lunch! I didnt ask, they just thought of it. If that is not sparking thoughts, I dont know what is! These girls ran with excitement-to bring me a hand full of orange peels. This is why! If I can just touch 1 kiddo and this day I got 2! If these are your girls Wabash area, you should be proud parents!

I had the best time educating about worms today! Probably because one of my bestest friends went with me!
I used this line until our 5th class gave me a better one! "I created the 1st ever species of worms with eyes!" The Maraworm! After lunch I was told now there are 9001 different species of worms.
The best times are when you grab a friend and they go along having no idea what you've gotten them into! Mara Rose you are my partner in crime -I appreciate you so much.

My worms 🪱have been working hard all summer☀️ because, It's that time of year again. I know:

"Its such a beautiful 🪴plant"
"I dont want it to die"
"I can keep it til next spring"

You also know what happens- in a month or so...
"it WAS so beautiful " where did I got wrong. Outside plants have outdoor friends,🐛 dont bring them in.
