Truly local watermelons, grown in Walla Walla! Thanks for your support!

We are a family-run business, specializing in unique varieties of watermelon, raising them on a farm seven miles west of Walla Walla. Because we maintain a small patch we can pick selectively....you can know when you buy a melon from us that it is FRESH and it is RIPE. We carefully select melons that are perfectly vine-ripened and deliver them immediately to their destination market.

2026 is our

23rd season. We've developed a loyal group of supporters, and thank you for looking beyond the name recognition of huge melon farms and getting to know your local grower. We are actively engaged in other careers and activities, thus the "Moonlight" in our name - we have been known to pick by moonlight in order to deliver you the freshest product possible. Our melons are available mid-July to mid-September at Downtown Walla Walla Farmer's Market, Klicker Berries & Antiques, Frog Hollow Farm, Andy's Market, A.R.Teal's Produce, and Walla Walla Food Hub.

Have you tried our “Tasty Bites”? They are fast becoming a Moonlight Melons favorite! This delicious and adorable melon is a charentais-Ananas cross weighing in at 1 - 1.5 lbs. They are also incredibly prolific and we have a lot of ‘em! So this weekend at Walla Walla Downtown Farmers Market we’ll be offering a “Buy Two, Get A Third One Free” offer. One for you, one for your partner and one for your neighbor. Perfect!

We are fully loaded for market this morning, with seven of eight of our melon varieties in stock for you today, including the customer favorite red seedless melon nicknamed “cannonball”. We practically fell into bed after picking everything, but after a good sleep and clearer skies today we are ready! We look forward to seeing you - 9-1 Walla Walla Downtown Farmers Market!

SURPRISE! Tomorrow (July 25) will be our first Walla Walla Downtown Farmers Market of the 2026 season! We won’t have all varieties and there will be limited quantities. We’d like to encourage our loyal supporters to come early as we may sell out.

We may have “accidentally” dropped a melon last night while packing orders, which resulted in an impromptu taste test. All of our wholesale customers are now stocked with Yellow Dolls. They are Joey approved.
