Farming isn’t just showing cows and selling products. It’s spending your weekends scraping paddocks full of 💩 from the winter. It’s early mornings and late nights feeding cows, waiting for calves to be born, teaching them to walk on a halter and so much more. But I can tell you I would not have it any other way.

Sizzling steak on the grill 🥩 can you smell it? I can…. Smells like summertime. Imagine not having to make that trip to the grocery store for that steak. It’s right in that fully stocked freezer full of locally raised beef!

I would love for you all to “meet” our 4-H group, Half Moon Cattle Club & Animal Explorers. Our group meets here at our farm and also at Half Moon Farm in Highland. Our group began last year with about 15 kids and has grown to 25 this year. At our meeting we made our Fair piggy banks out of recycled milk and water jugs. The kids will use these to save for spending money at the Ulster county fair this summer. They also got time to meet the new calf Junior.
