Today on National Nonprofit Day, we’re celebrating an organization that has been close to our hearts for many years. 💜

Eat Drink Be Merry has proudly supported Joybound People & Pets, formerly the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), since 2011.

Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to be part of cocktail parties, donor receptions, outdoor brunches and other special events designed to help raise funds in support of their mission.

Joybound works to inspire and nurture the human-animal bond, bringing people and animals together to enrich each other’s lives. We’re grateful to have supported that work over the years. 🐾

Happy National Nonprofit Day to Joybound People & Pets and all of the organizations doing meaningful work in our community.

What makes our Crispy Chicken & Waffle Bites different? 🧇

It starts with chicken brined in citrus, followed by a housemade buttermilk and teriyaki marinade. Then it’s coated in a Japanese-inspired Karaage and Panko mixture with hints of lemongrass and fried until golden brown.

Paired with scratch-made waffles, salted butter and Togarashi Maple Syrup, every bite is made with a little extra care.

Still thinking about this pretzel bar from Gary’s Bierhaus last year. 🥨🍻

Bavarian pretzels from Squabisch were served with all the fixings on a custom display created for this Oktoberfest celebration.

A safari-inspired baby shower in Diablo, with a menu just as playful as the celebration. 🦒

Our Eat Drink Be Merry team loved creating and serving a custom menu for this special afternoon, including one of the hosts’ requests that quickly became a guest favorite: Shrimp Corn Dogs.

It was especially meaningful to celebrate with a family we’ve had the pleasure of serving before. 🤍

A backyard wedding filled with thoughtful details, beautiful florals, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. 🥂

Guests enjoyed a generous grazing station, passed bites, signature cocktails, and a warm dinner setting that made the evening feel both elevated and intimate.
