🚨 I almost skipped this recipe… and that would’ve been a mistake.

This old PA Grange cookbook turned a handful of simple ingredients into one of the freshest, most flavorful salads we’ve made. Sweet citrus, smoky bacon, tart cranberries, and crunchy almonds… this one’s definitely staying in our recipe rotation. 🍊🥗

Happy Father’s Day to the guy behind the grill, the cast iron skillet, and just about every project around here.

Ken, thanks for always being willing to try another recipe from the old Grange cookbooks—even when we have no idea how it’s going to turn out. Thanks for chopping, stirring, grilling, taste-testing, and laughing through every kitchen adventure with me.

Whether we’re cooking over charcoal during a power outage or making another old-fashioned recipe, my favorite part is doing it together.

Here’s to a wonderful husband, dad, soon-to-be Pappy, and the best cooking partner I could ask for.
