All the light blue represents the start of our silvopasture made possible by the NRCS EQUIP grant we were awarded. It's one of the many projects that we are working on to make life better for both animals and humans. Stay tuned for the completion of our on pasture watering system.

Today Steve and his mentor Josh were out placing new hives on the farm. Adding fresh colonies is always an exciting step, giving our hardworking pollinators more room to grow while strengthening the ecosystem that supports our regenerative pastures, gardens, and livestock. With careful planning, the right location, and full PPE (suits, veils, gloves, and boots), we got the new hives settled in safely. A little smoke, steady hands, and a whole lot of respect for these amazing creatures. We're grateful for Josh’s guidance and the opportunity to keep building something sustainable. These bees are vital, they help produce the raw honey and beeswax we use in our handmade soaps, balms, candles, and more.

Pasture is still holding up well even with regular temps in the 80s. Yak are grazing in the morning and evening, while napping in the trees during the hottest part of the day.

🌱 Farm-Fresh Eggs & an Uninvited Kitchen Guest 🌱
Just finished washing a fresh basket of eggs from our flock, warm water rinse, gentle handling, and they’re all set for the table. Nothing compares to those rich, deep orange yolks and that true farm-fresh taste! 🥚 Of course, while I’m at the sink, I’ve got one eye on this little jumping spider on the kitchen windowsill. 😅 Fuzzy critters like him still give me the heebie-jeebies, but he’s doing his part as natural pest control out here on the regenerative farm. Farm life is full of these little surprises, balancing the chores with whatever God drops in front of you. Real food, real stewardship, and a whole lot of life (even the fuzzy kind) happening around the homestead. Who else is washing or collecting eggs this week?
