Windyneck Farm Small farm on the Eastern shore of Maryland. We raise ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats & MDGA Mini Nubians. We do several hatches a year. Reach out if interested.

Windyneck Farm is a small homestead located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We raise quality ADGA Nigerian dwarf goats and MDGA Mini Nubians. Our main focus is milk production but our goats also make great pets. We also raise heritage turkeys, Bourbon red and Blue Slate crosses. Guinea keets and chicks are hatched several times a year as well. A large garden provides most if not all of our produce.

Kidding season is quickly approaching! Udders are coming in and it’s just about time for pre-kidding CDT. I have 5 does due at the end of January, beginning of February. 3 mini Nubians and 2 Nigerians. Then a small break and only one in February. Funny how things work. Anyways, lots of kids and adults will be available this year. Let me know if you’re looking for something specific. I do not plan to retain many ND kids this year but it will be hard, so many nice breedings!

Another product I love, cleansing grains.Kind of an interesting way to wash your face, it’s a clay mask plus it exfoliates to remove dead skin. Gentle enough to use multiple times a week. You can either apply and let dry like a mask or just exfoliate and rinse right away. Herbs, clay and some other goodies. Can be made with different clays and herbs depending on skin type and concerns.

Restocking soaps because I sold out! Thanks everyone, I appreciate you! This is a scrubby tea tree and lavender hand soap bar. Great for getting the dirtiest hands clean and moisturizing too. Keep an eye on this page for soap updates. I’ll post as I make them, keep in mind they do have a 4 week cure time but they’re worth the wait 😊

Cuts are hard but necessary. 😞 I’m making an extensive list right now. I’ll post it this weekend. Some can go now, some will be available in milk after kidding. 1-2 bucks available as well. Not culls, I just need to cut back a lot. I never wanted 30 goats and that’s where I’m at. I’d like to be under 20. Some really nice animals on this list.

I was going to breed one more doe next week but I’ve decided against it. Last years late kids were so hard to sell, one is still here actually as a wether I don’t need. So, I’m officially done. I can’t wait to see this next doe freshen. Windyneck Farm DJ Kali is my first Tangled Forest Or Don Julio *B daughter to freshen and she’s out of my favorite doe line. She was bred to Brook Valley MN Two to Tango and is due 3/17. She still has a lot of maturing to do but she is super promising. She has that width that her sire throws to all his kids.

More breeding announcements… Windyneck Farm CY Marceline was bred to Brook Valley MN Two to Tango. She has two possible kidding dates 2/20 and 3/17. Her dam had a lovely FF udder and her sire is Wings & Caprines RHC Cyrus *B so lots of beautiful female relatives. She will likely be available after kidding. I’m working on refining my lines and cutting ND numbers. She is super sweet and I sm excited to see her FF udder. I may retain a doeling.

On to the February kiddings. Windyneck Farm R Fiadh (Chompy) was bred to Tangled Forest OR Don Julio*B and is due 2/19. I really love this doe. She was an experiment that worked out nicely I think. Her sire was the son of Rosebay Ridge BG Lian-Ye x Lemon Trails Corn Pops *B. She is one of his only progeny that is registered. He sadly passed. She freshened with a lovely udder but it was bad timing. I had my hip replacement a week later and she had a single so you know what that means, uneven udder. Once I was able to milk again I almost got it even and it was a huge improvement over her dam. I can’t wait to see her 2F! First doeling retained, others available.

I kind of got sidetracked in announcing breedings. I’ll get back to it but first I want to mention that two does are past the 21 day mark. Windyneck Farm TTN Lenora who is my heart goat was bred to Brook Valley MN Two to Tango. Second my grumpy lamancha Shady M-F Koi’s Sirena was bred to Tangled Forest OR Don Julio *B for mini lamanchas.

Windyneck Farm is a small homestead farm located in Warwick MD. We breed and raise ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats, MDGA registered Mini Nubian Goats, Blue Slate turkeys, chickens, and ducks. Every other year we raise pastured pigs. We started this journey in 2015 by purchasing some chicks. We decided we wanted fresh eggs. It was definitely a learning experience. A few months later we were contacted and asked if we wanted to take in some ducks. Of course we said sure. So began my love for the messiest creature alive, lol. By 2016 we decided to add goats and turkeys to our ever growing farm. I had a dream to make goat milk soap and cheese. We soon realized that we would need a buck to fulfill our milk dreams. So, in 2017 we added two more goats. By 2018 we had baby goats! Little did I know how frustrated I would be milking. It’s not as easy as it seems! Now we are in 2020 and I’m in my third year of breeding goats and our little herd keeps growing. We love what we do no matter how hard it seems at times and we’ll keep pushing forward. Follow along on our journey.

We try our best to be self-sustaining by raising and growing our own food. Fresh meat, produce, eggs and milk are important to us! Screamin’ Goat Soap is produced from our milk and many herbs that we grow right on our little farm.
