🍔🎃 Home Town Smash will be at Autumn Acres Farm this Saturday for Family FunFest!

After getting rained out last weekend, we’re definitely ready to get the trailer back out again 😅

There’s a lot going on at the farm Saturday — live music, face painting, caricature drawings, goats, a kids scavenger hunt, prizes, wagon rides, pumpkins and plenty more.

The event runs 10 AM–5 PM and admission is $11 per person ages 3 and up. Kids 2 and under are free, and the admission covers the activities and entertainment.

Food, pumpkins and other market items are separate from admission.

And of course, we’ll be there serving up fresh smash burgers and fries 🍔🍟

We’ll be there serving burgers and fries from 1–4 PM.

💜 Hometown Hearts 💜

We’re very sad to share that Kim Patterson, our very first Hometown Hearts recipient, has passed away.

Kim was more than the first name attached to Hometown Hearts. She is family, and she was the reason this whole idea became real.

When we started Hometown Hearts, we simply wanted to find a way to use Home Town Smash to help people in our communities who were going through something difficult. Kim and her family were the first people our community wrapped its arms around, and we’ll always be grateful to all of you who showed up and supported 💜

We’re thankful for everyone who supported Kim, prayed for her, showed up, shared her story, and helped remind her family that they weren’t walking through this alone.

Our hearts are with the Patterson family and everyone who loved Kim.

As the family now faces the days ahead, any continued financial contributions to help support them would be greatly appreciated. If you feel led to help, please know that your support will mean a lot to a family that has already been through so much.

Kim will always be a special part of the beginning of 💜 Hometown Hearts 💜

💜 Hometown Hearts 💜Between being gone and getting back into the swing of things, we just haven’t done as good of a job as we wanted to keeping Jason and The Recovery Road in front of people.

But that doesn’t mean this cause has become any less important to us.

Jason is still out there walking, putting in the miles, having the conversations, and trying to bring more attention to mental health, recovery and su***de prevention.

We said we were going to continue supporting Jason, Kenzie’s memory and this cause through September, and we mean that.

We’ve still got a couple things we want to do to help support what he’s doing, and we’ll share more on that soon.

If you see something from Jason or The Recovery Road, take a minute to read it, share it, or even just check in on somebody you care about.

🍔🔥 JANESVILLE — WE’RE BACK! 🔥🍔

After a few weeks away and a whole lot of miles between Minnesota and Alaska, it’s time to fire the flat top back up!

Home Town Smash is back in Janesville this FRIDAY!

🍔💛 We’ve been a little quiet lately…

And there’s a pretty good reason.

Mike, Brycan, our good friend Brian and his son Nolan packed up and made the LONG journey from Minnesota all the way to Alaska! 🏔️🛻

It’s been a lot of miles, some incredible country, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, some really good time spent with the boys.

Home Town Smash and 💛 Hometown Hearts 💛 have become something we’re incredibly excited about, and the support you’ve shown us has been more than we ever expected. But as much as we love what our communities are building, we also want to make sure we’re prioritizing the people and moments that matter most along the way.

Right now, that means the flat top has been cold, the fryer has been off, and four guys are a LONG way from Minnesota making some pretty great memories together. 😂

But while Home Town Smash has taken a short break, Hometown Hearts hasn’t left our minds.

As August comes to an end, we’ve also made the decision that we’re not ready to move on to another cause.

The conversations surrounding mental health and su***de prevention are simply too important. Kenzie’s story deserves to continue being remembered, and the work Jason Lennox and The Recovery Road are doing deserves more support, more attention and more time.

So rather than choosing a new Hometown Hearts recipient for September, we’re sticking with Kenzie, Jason and this cause for another month. 💛

We started Hometown Hearts because we wanted it to be about more than writing a check or choosing a different name every month. If a cause deserves more time and more focus, then that’s exactly what we want to give it.

Once we make our way back to Minnesota, we’ll fire up the trailer again and let you know where our next Small Town Stop will be. 🍔🔥

Until then, the boys are going to keep enjoying this time together and making memories — because prioritizing what matters is really at the heart of both of these stories.

Kenzie is still being remembered. Jason is still walking. And we’re still behind them. 💛
