Qmem Authentic Quality Ethiopian Spices

Think Smart Trade (TST) is a privately held social enterprise focused on doing trade instead of doing charity. TST is founded with the vision to improve the living standards for socially disadvantage single mothers in Ethiopia by empowering them to produce quality Ethiopian spices for the global market under our Qmem™ brand. TST is established with the purpose of improving the standard of living for the women that produce our spices. We intend to achieve this by capacitating our producers in producing and distributing quality, home-made, traditional Ethiopian spices. Similarly we intend to provide our consumers a consistent quality product at a reasonable price. Our mission is to create sustainable positive impact for the producers, society, environment and consumers and ensure equitable value distribution throughout the supply chain.

Mission: Our mission is to be a reliable provider of quality spices to the global market at a competitive price with the drive to help make a difference in the lives of women living in economic hardship yearning for economic self-reliance. We are dedicated to providing work conditions that are secure, safe, and transparent while promoting work-life balance through training and development.

“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”
