Getting closer! Lambing should start, minus the oops, in just 28 days. Man time flies. At this point I am excited for babies bad as we get closer I will probably switch over to “what have I done” 😄

I believe I gave 10 ewes expecting which should be 12-20 lambs. 🤞

My sweet old girl Juniper turns 12 next month! I can’t believe it. Though I haven’t had her all her life I’m still shocked how fast the years have flown. She is the matriarch of my Angora herd and one of the goats that started me on my Angora Goat journey. She is long retired but her legacy carries on with Grandkids due soon ❤️

This time of year my body needs all the help it can get. Between kidding/lambing, milking, shearing, seedlings and the rest of my non farming life I may have more than my fair share of stress 😅. So when I’m out in the woods and come across a medicinal treat, in this case Chaga, I take heavy note that the Earth is trying to send me a clear message “here you need this. Chill the f$(& out.”
So this evening I am getting to enjoy a hot fresh cup of Chaga and Maple Syrup tea while I take a breather before heading out for evening milking.

Took the boys back to their mom in the barn ❤️ everyone looks happy now.

I found these to boys hypothermic this morning out in the yard. Mom was trying her best but it was chilly and she needed an extra hand getting them going. I raced them into the sunroom, got them dry, their temps up and a little food in them before taking them back out to the barn. Never a dull moment this time of year.

Hypothermia is a b***h. Coco had her twin boys this morning in a nice sunny spot in the hay but they didn’t want to stay there. When I came back out about 45min later to check both kids were laying in the shade in a breeze very cold.

The brown boy was up and still talking but the little black boy was in rough shape. It doesn’t take long with new borns for their temps to drop dangerously low if they don’t get right up and eat. I scooped up both the boys and got them into the sunroom, checked temps and started getting them warmed up. The brown boy was right around 97°f and the little black kids internal temp wasn’t even registering on my thermometer. After hot water bottles and snuggles both boys temps started coming up to the normal range quickly. ❤️

No dog class for Gator and I today 😅

The kids were having a blast this morning on the old broken fish tote 😄. Someone’s trash is another critters ultimate play ground?

As im filming this Coco is just two feet away busy having her kids in the warm morning sun. I did catch the second kids birth on video but not sure you guys needed to see that 😆.

A quick Timelapse from shearing on Friday. I think we did 35 sheep 😬 my best guess. I do have to add that shearing is much faster with half the sheep 😅. Have no fear lambs are coming and I’ll be back up over 50 in no time.

What are the sheep doing in all this rain? They are all curled up in the barn dry and happy snoozing or in Otters case hanging out at the all you can eat buffet.

The girls have been getting fed double the grain post shearing to help them up their calorie intake. Food = warmth. They are now getting 50lbs a day and they aren’t complaining. I promise girls it will be warm soon 🌞🤞

Twin girls from Twix this morning while I was busy in the house making cheese! She picked the perfect spot sitting in the sun in a pile of fresh hay ❤️.
