Savoy and hispi cabbages are starting to head!
Lettuce mix looks ready too!
In a couple of weeks we’ll have radishes and hakurei turnips as well.

Took time away from farming today to do some cosmetics. Coming to realize this year is a “do what you can, and don’t stress about it” kind of year.

Working 50 hours a week as the Mulberry House sous chef while starting a farm has humbled me and is teaching me more patience day to day.

Rest is important. Not just physical rest, but mental rest too. So this week, I took a step back from farming on my days off to do some landscaping.

Eleven beds seeded, carrots watered and covered, and some figs and bay laurels potted up.

There’s so much more to do but I wanted to leave these here and keep you all updated as we regrow our family farm.

From a weedy, unhealthy lawn to a productive, biodiverse ecosystem.

We’ve got some pretty good growth coming from our spring brassicas and lettuce! A good result from our little test run in the native soil here. I can only imagine the growth in the Autumn when we finally have some compost to feed to the soil.
