It sure was a beautiful day at Polyface Farm! Joel was kind enough to take us on a 6 hour tour around the farm, blowing our minds on these ideas he’s come up with. He has the most efficient farm I’ve ever seen. It’s so incredibly simple, yet so complex. One thing we noticed was there was no smell! All the animals were so clean thanks to the carbon diaper under their feet! Bedpacks are the way to go. The manure, urine and wood chips compost right under their feet. This creates heat, keeping the animals warm through the winter, resulting in less feed and reduced stress levels (If any).
We had too much fun we forgot to take a picture with him.
