Picked my first 2 peppers, a cayenne and a sugar rush peach. The cayenne 🌶 was way hotter (it's not supposed to be)! I cut up ½ the sugar rush 🍑 and put it in jambalaya. Yummy! 😋 Could be a good year for hot sauce.

Well... critters (🦌🐇🐿???) got 6 of my outside peppers plants, so today I bought 6 new plants from Helen Elizabeth to replace them. 😡 The new 6 are: Scotch Bonnet, Big Thai Hybrid, Santaka, Lemon Drop, New Mexico (Hatch) Chile, & NuMex Joe E. Parker. Not as hot as my usual, but could make for some interesting blends.

And to try and keep the critters out, I have put chicken wire around all of the plants. Wish me luck!

Finally got my peppers planted outside in the raised beds. Not a great looking batch though, as they were accidentally let outside too long to harden. 😬 But 28 more peppers planted today, plus the 21 in the greenhouse, plus the 7 in Bill S. Phelps greenhouse next door, brings the total to 58 plants!! Crazy, right? 🤯 Even if ½ don't do well, it should still be a banner year.

Got 21 pepper plants in the greenhouse today. Counting the 7 in dad's greenhouse I've got: Poblamo, Serrano, Cayenne, Aji Charapita, Jalapeño, Sugar Rush Stripey (2), Sugar Rush Peach (2), Habanero, Scotch Bonnet (3), Pimenta Jolokia Pink Ice, Giant Ghost Chocolate, Leviathan Gnarly Scorpion Caramel, Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion, Peach Mutant X, The Beast (2), 7-Pot Douglah (2), Apocalypse Scorpion (2), Reaper Sbagliato Purple Peach (2), and Reaper Pink Peach (2).
