Hazelwood Brewhouse was the perfect spot for GoodTaste! Pittsburgh’s 6th Annual PizzaFest. The pizza was fire, the sausage was as delicious as I remembered, and the hospitality of the pizza vendors and the folks serving drinks inside Hazelwood Brew House | Pittsburgh was outstanding. Cheers to GoodTaste! Pittsburgh for another fabulous event.

Dragon City in Bellevue has only been open about two months, but it’s already making an impression! We enjoyed a delicious lunch that included several menu favorites. The dry sautéed string beans were absolutely delicious—we could eat them every day! The cashew shrimp was another winner, loaded with large shrimp, giant cashews, and a creamy, flavorful sauce. We also loved the udon noodles packed with chicken, beef, and shrimp. If you’re looking for a newer spot to try, Dragon City PGH is worth a visit!Takeout available through Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Hungry Panda. Thank you for the invitation to try your new items as well as your regular dishes.

Lunch at was fabulous! We started with the pork dumplings, papaya salad, and egg rolls. The papaya salad is a newer menu item and it came with a house-made dressing that was so good Lynn said he could dip his napkin in it and eat it. That might be a bit of a stretch, but it really was that tasty! We loved the crunchy veggie rolls and they were paired with another fantastic house-made sweet sauce. Penny definitely knows how to elevate a dish with her house-made sauces and dressings.

For our entrées, we enjoyed the Pad Thai with beef and the Drunken Noodles with beef and both were outstanding. Penny sources many of her fruits and vegetables from local vendors, and that attention to quality was especially evident in the mango sticky rice. The mango was absolute perfection.

A special shoutout to Jo, who made us feel so welcome and was an absolute joy throughout our visit. Jo and Penny are quite the dynamic duo! Thank you Penny for hosting us. This woman-owned restaurant has been in business for 16 years for good reason. Please support these wonderful small businesses.

A chicken bánh mì from Z Coffee & Bánh Mì in Washington. I had my usual Phin coffee over ice and my husband tried the new matcha strawberry latte and it was absolutely delicious! In this photo it had been stirred; I will put a photo in my story of how pretty it looked when Liam brought it out. Between the wonderful bánh mì, drinks and hospitality from Liam and his family, we always leave there happy!
