Tins I did tha last few days really cause I’m in a weird funk. Had food truck yesterday. Sold out of the croissants fast think I only made 10. Sold a ton o the turkey Swiss. In thinking food combos with dishes when u get a formula I hate to mess with it. Went to spin with other wifey and we’ve decided we no likey anymore. The hubs stole a bagel and made himself a snack. Sometimes when I take stuff out of the oven and walk away I’m always missing something when I walk back. Dinner for Sept is creeping in and my mind has started running again. Buy your tickets. I’ll post thoughts on that sweet potato Gruyere that’ll have layers of all the tubers that have made an impact in our culinary history. I was talking to Kevin about my thoughts on how I want to present it as a dish of colonization and then decolonization and then as a representation of the diaspora. If yall don’t know who Kevin is bty, he’s the magician behind my food showing up like magic while I’m standing and talking to you. I’m not panicking cause his eye is on that s**t. Tins I did yesterday. Baked the fig loaf. I’m always worried when I’m trying new recipes to figure out my percentage for inclusions cause if it weighs the dough down too much it won’t rise. So we’ll see. Leo and I have been hanging a lot and I think I’ve successfully potty trained him so I’ve gotten my porch back. I like Mondays cause I get to have silence. The egusi is doing great that we’re growing for true love and I’ve very stoked about that. Did yall know that melons originated in west Africa. Egusi looks like a throw away water melon. Flesh is inedible. It’s also why the enslaved were so incredible at growing it. It belonged to them and they were incredible and innovative farmers. Have things to do today. Kid stuff, mom stuff so I’ll be about. Make good decisions ✌🏾

Tins I did yesterday. Baked the cheddar. I’m baking a fig and walnut loaf today and I’m pretty stoked about what it’ll look and taste like. We’re having brunch with peanut very sooooon. He’s so cute! He actually loves peanuts so yall can bring the kiddos and feed peanuts to peanut. I’m going to bring back the focaccia with the smoked chicken that I made for the last dinner cause some peeps said it should have been the last course so they could have it as a midnight snack😂. Making croissants cause it set me back last week. I’m trying to plan better this week. Went to a cat cafe with my fam. My painting looks like I’m on crack but look at Bella’s 😱 it’s going on the wall in the house. Anyways I feel better today. Less pain. Make good decisions today. Hopefully this week will be wonderful ✌🏾

Tins I did yesterday. Baked some more. I’m really legit loving the colors of the jalapeno cheddar. Also yall that oral surgery took me out. My face is swollen and for some reason the pain got bad yesterday. I’m probs doing too much. I had that whole thing of ice cream for dinner cause I’m not allowed to eat solids and what is food if it’s not in solid form. Bread looked oh so. Didn’t like it but I trudge. Anyways doing sad things today. Ya know if I’m not the only one going through this much tragedy and just general shi, know that I am thinking of you, praying for you and we are all in this together and it will be okay. Sending out good vibes and all things beautiful. Make good decisions ✌🏾

Tins I did yesterday. Had oral surgery so I couldn’t eat or drink and so I missed my run. I wonder if this citrus will get a chance to ripen before the heat gets to it. This back porch garden need to be cleaned but because of the backdrop of the woods behind it looks rustic and I like it. The egusi down below is looking incredible forgot to add pics. Harvesting is yuck though but seeing it got me all excited. The pain was so bad yesterday after the anesthesia wore off that I wondered why I started making the bread😂 pain meds finally kicked in though. I’m going to be baking for the next two to three days cause I gotta take ten to cxffeeblack today. Theirs fermented overnight and are going in the oven today. I know doing such a long ferment is crazy but it’s worth it, both the warm and cold cause it’s folded 4 times and still goes through the 2 and 1/2 ferment before the long. It actually traps traps me at home😂. Love it though, it’s calming and yall know my brain needs something to calm it down. Then comes orders and then bread for food truck. The world seems spooky did yall see the op-ed Gates did with the new your times. Anyways stay safe out there keep your community close, check on the peeps you love and we will be okay as long as we make good decisions ✌🏾

Tins I did today? Had food truck. First of the semester. I really wanna do a sourdough sammich day at the farm where you guys buy meat, tallow and teas and all kinds of stuff and stuff all around the farm and have fun. So yall start asking friends to follow us and know us cause we’re pretty cool and we can’t to feed you good food that nutrient dense and ethically farmed and raised and all things that are good for you. So what? Will yall come hang with me and Gnarled Oak Farm | Regenerative Meats | Hernando, MS and let’s start doing shiii. My croissant is flaky as shiii!!soo freaking good. Taking some yo the farm tomorrow so the fam can have some cause grub hub was a bitch today. Love you grub hub😝 make good decisions ✌🏾

Bahhhhhgels. It’s crazy how when u live on a make shift herb farm the need to pick out herbs just to put in everything takes over your life. While I was making this dough I had some fresh rosemary I had used for something else so I chopped it into the dough. Took a pic of this area cause the hubs took it down so I remember what it looked like before I painted. Lake is so purty. That’s actually a pic of today’s workout. Did my 5 yesterday and 5 today. Not running tomorrow obviously. Goal is to hit 20 this week cause I’m also getting my tooth taken out so I’m probs going to miss more days. Hope everyone’s doing well. Boku errands today. Tins I did yesterday. Not that much. I have a tooth that’s getting taken out next week. The pain is basically unbearable unless I’m on pain meds so last night I had that giant ass margarita and skipped the pain meds. Until at night when the pain woke my ass up. Went by Blue Vintage Collection yesterday and saw this insanely beautiful coffee table and I need someone to buy it cause I don’t have room for it. Herbs look great cause the rain was great. Those chives and the ones in bigger bed I have in the back is what goes in the cream cheese for bagels that we serve on food truck days. Anyways doing some things today like taking girl child to her teacher sleeping on the teachers couch cause that’s all I stand doing right now. Make good decisons ✌🏾

Tins I did yesterday. Def ran. Started the dough for bagels it’s now in the fridge going through a long as hell ferment. Making the butter blocks today for croissants, going to Costco cause I need shi, never see shis**tos and not buy it. Went to body pump and I go so inconsistently I’m telling myself that at least I still make it. Having kids is real. Anyways hope everyone’s having a great week. Mine is actually not going that great😂 make good decisions ✌🏾

Tins I did yesterday. Ran, finished all the bread making. Now I gotta do bagels and croissants. Gotta make tea at some point. Wifey made the infused oils and u gotta try them. That’s usually my breakfast for everyday. Drinking a lot of water these days, telling myself I’m cleaning my kidneys. That cheese bread holy shiiiiiii! I ate too much. I didn’t look this morning but I think my kids have gone through most of the loaf for the house.
