I don’t think people really understand what goes into running a bakery. They see the pretty pictures, the finished products, the cute packaging, and the smiles. But they don’t see us standing in our kitchen for HOURS. They don’t see the aching body, the exhaustion, the late nights, the pressure we put on ourself, or the moments when we’re sitting here literally fighting ourselves to get back up and finish one more thing.

And the hardest part? I put this pressure on myself because I WANT to do well. I want Sara’s Sweets to grow. I want my customers to be happy. I want to show up to these vendor events and make my business look good. I want to prove to myself that I can really do this.

But I’m human, too. I get overwhelmed. I get exhausted. And sometimes I just need to sit down for a minute and say, “DAMN, I really did all that.” 🥹

Tonight, I’m proud. I’m grateful. I’m exhausted. And honestly, I could use a baking fairy right about now. 😭😂🧚🏽‍♀️

WHAT A DAY!🥹❤️

Today was a GOOD day! 🥹 I made A LOT of sales, and I’m so incredibly thankful for every single person who stopped by, made a purchase, supported my small business, and continues to show up for me. 🫶🏼

Behind the scenes, it’s been a LONG week of late nights, but days like today remind me why I keep going.🥹❤️

Small business ownership isn’t always easy, and not every event ends with completely empty tables, but every sale matters, every customer matters, and every bit of support means more than you know.

There’s a LOT happening this week, and if I’m being completely honest, I’m exhausted. It’s 12:00am and I’m finally forcing myself to call it a night…😴

But this is the part of owning a small business that you don’t always see. The late nights, the sore feet, the sore back, the tired eyes, the endless to-do lists, and trying to balance a regular job while chasing a dream of your own.

I’m a woman building something of my own, one order, and one event at a time. Some days are exciting, some days are overwhelming, and some nights I wonder how I’m going to get everything done. But I keep showing up because I believe in what I’m building. I truly believe all of these long nights are going to be worth it.🥹💗

Thank you to every single person who orders from me, shops at the kiosk, stops by my events, shares my posts, or simply cheers me on. You’re helping me build something that means so much to me, and I will never take that for granted. 🩷
