🌧️🚜 New Technology on the Farm! 🚜🌧️

Yesterday we officially got our new 360 RAIN system up and running!

360 RAIN is an autonomous irrigation and nutrient application machine that follows the same paths as our planter, allowing it to navigate fields of virtually any shape—even corners that traditional center pivots can’t reach.

Connected to a water source by a 3,000-foot hose, the system can precisely deliver water, nutrients, manure, and other crop inputs directly where they’re needed. Using GPS guidance and cellular communication, the machine follows planter-created paths throughout the field while automatically navigating around obstacles.

We’re excited about the opportunities this technology provides to:
🌱 Improve nutrient efficiency
💧 Apply water more precisely
♻️ Make better use of manure and other resources
🚜 Continue adopting innovative practices that support sustainable crop production

Agriculture is constantly evolving, and we’re proud to invest in technologies that help us grow healthier crops while being good stewards of the land for future generations.

Stay tuned as we learn more about this system and share updates throughout the growing season!

“It’s kind of like a Roomba for the field—except instead of vacuuming your living room, it’s applying water and nutrients to crops.” 😄🌽💧

If you follow our page, you know we’re dedicated to getting better every day and we’re constantly learning and trying new things to make things better for our animals and even our team!

We’re thankful for all of the companies we work with but especially Valley Veterinary Clinic for organizing and providing a great learning opportunity for some of our team members to learn more about maternity! Thank you to Wiese Brothers for opening your doors to us and Scott for sharing what you do there. It was very impressive!

In addition, we had six people participate in an animal handling pilot program through UW- Extension. It’s a new program called ProHand Dairy led by UW-Madison’s Animal Welfare Specialist, Jennifer Van Os. They said it was great and they learned so much! We can’t wait to see it be further developed. Here’s to building a better tomorrow! 🙌

God is good! 🙌

After 0.6 inches of rain Friday night, the guys were finally able to get rolling later Saturday afternoon and worked ALL NIGHT to finish planting the last 340 acres of corn before the next rain shower! 🌽 🌧️

A HUGE thank you to Josh and Tony Peirick of T&R Dairy for your hard work, dedication and ability to get it done! 🤩 👏 We are very grateful!!

Now we can officially say the corn is in, everyone can breathe a little easier… and hopefully get some much-needed REST! 😴

Next up: first crop hay this week — let’s hope weather cooperates! 🤞☀️🚜

We were honored to welcome a group of international dairy farmers to McFarlandale Dairy yesterday through AltaU! 🌎🐄

It was a great opportunity to share ideas, talk dairy, and showcase what we do here in Wisconsin. They asked thoughtful questions, brought great perspectives from around the world, and we truly enjoyed the conversations throughout the tour.

We’re always grateful for opportunities like this to connect with others in agriculture and learn from fellow dairy producers. Thank you to AltaU for including our farm as part of the visit — and safe travels to everyone as they continue their journey! 🇺🇸🚜🐮
