Today at our meeting we were honored to hear from two of our scholarship winners Christina Jongbloed and Rowan Raymer. They shared with us there written essays and their plans to further their education at college. We wish them the best of luck in college. Thank you to the four service clubs and their presidents for coming together to put new signs around town! These signs include our meeting times, locations, and a phone number to join our clubs.

A huge shout out goes out to all the local businesses, nonprofits, and other partners who helped get this project done.

What a great day to be an Optimist! What an honor it was to accept the 2026 Visitor Industry Award for our Winter Wonderland Display from Visit Watertown.

It takes countless hours of set up, operation on our open weekends, sponsorship, tear down and the list goes on. But we as Optimists wouldn’t have it any other way, knowing the hope and positive vision that bring out the best in our youth and ourselves.

We say a special Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and contributors that visited our display. Thank you Visit Watertown for this award !
