With homesteading comes tremendous lifestyle changes. We've had to learn a few things and we are still learning new things all of the time. A few of our favorites are making our own meat stocks and bone brothes as well as using our farm fresh eggs to make a variety of flavors and styles of mayonnaise. We absolutely love this time of year on our farm. The Lord has blessed us abundantly as we prepare for a busy spring and an even busier summer. We get to enjoy and share the emense blessings that come from life on the farm. We experience so much joy in loving on our newest additions as we welcome them to the world. With a new year comes new events, and we are so glad to join with others as we share our experiences this season. We offer our petting zoo from spring to fall, our homesteading classes, and our therapeutic events. We also sell animals, fresh eggs, and other items, while supplies last. Our last event of the year is almost here! We are so excited to have one more free event before we finish out the year at our humble Farmstead on November 9th from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

First, we will kick off our event by providing activities, games, and crafts for our guests.

Before our tours and treats we will over a devotion about peace and God's faithful provision, followed by a short story time where our guest reader will read "The Scarecrow's Hat" by Jen Brown as it introduces problem solving, team effort, and how we all offer something unique and special to the world.

We will be teaching how to properly clip a chicken's flight feathers before we go into our winter season.

As the sun sets we will build a bonfire and provide s'mores for every registered guest.

With school starting and summer winding down Promised Land Farmstead has closed down the hatchery for the year.

We still have a few keets left as well as some first year layer hens available, but we will end sales in October as we prepare for cooler weather.

Our farm will sponsor a free event for the public this fall, details TBD, so keep an eye out!

We will still offer our rental services and petting zoo the remainder of the year, weather permitting. Please consider us for your next birthday, outreach, or special event.

We've enjoyed all of the opportunities God has provided for us to serve. Some have been big and others small. Through the failures and the successes this year, we have had a blessed first season and are so excited to see what opportunities are ahead! May the Lord bless you all on your next season as well!

We have finally made it to our final days of development and had our first guinea fowl baby hatch! We are so excited to meet our new guinea fowl babies! These babies take about 28 days to fully develop but we have had so much fun watching them through their journey. We hope you enjoy the few photos we're sharing showing their stages of development! God is so good and new life is such a miracle!
