L’Architecture de l’Ombre: The frame as my boundary, the textile as my lens, and the quiet light of authenticity. 🇫🇷🪵🪟

I do not merely drape a window; I alter how the lumière inhabits a room. To hand-tie raw French linen to a frame of chêne blanc, to feel the coarse slub of the gauze against the matte density of plaster, is an act of structural alignment.

What I curate, what I construct, and what I alter is not an optimization—it is a literal extension of the architecture. My connection to la matière première is my anchor, a quiet receipt of a life lived in raw conversation with le vivant. 🌍🌿

There is an immutable law in curation: you cannot synthesize presence. Generic hardware, sterile metal clips—they yield nothing but a passing, nameless shadow. They carry no mémoire. They have no soul.

True authenticity is earned in the unconventional choice. By dropping the chassis to leave a raw architectural void at the very apex of the frame, the midday sun, the wind, and the shifting reflection of the canopy break into the bureau completely unobstructed. The sheer gauze captures the kinetic silhouette of the feuillage, floating seamlessly before dropping into a heavy, unpolished drape below to anchor the room's energy.

It stands in silent, poetic dialogue with the back window—left entirely bare to the jardin. One portal filters the elements; the other embraces them completely.

Le Jardin Éphémère : Flore et Levain. 🍋🌾✨

Before the fire claims the canvas, la pâte levée breathes. Infused with a fragrant crumb of herbes de Provence 🇫🇷 🌿 🍃 dried from my garden 💚, it is a slow, quiet rise—a soft loam cradling a wild botanical arrangement.

After spending hours tending to the soil, I have brought the harvest inside. Here, the concentrated, lacto-fermented intensity of my Moroccan preserved Meyer lemon slices meets the bitter oil of the olive, pinned to the surface by sprigs of wild oregano, velvety sage, and the fragile violet of chive blossoms—all picked directly from my garden. 🌸 I arrange these vibrant fragments directly onto the living skin of the focaccia bread. It is an œuvre comestible composed in a moment of absolute stillness, destined to be transformed entirely by the heat of the oven.

Hanging on the weathered grain of a lavender-indigo garden door, this oval crown of interwoven, dormant vines stands as a silent testament to structural minimalism. There are no synthetic embellishments, no forced arrangements—only the raw friction between the living texture of the timber and the skeletal geometry of the branch. 🕸️🌿

The climate outside is actively shifting, yet this specific hue remains entirely absolute—a permanent, defiant anchor untouched by the passing calendar. This is the opening visual dialogue for the garden sanctuary, a physical blueprint of form and memory designed to absorb the elements. From a forgotten backyard relic to sustainable interior art. 🪟🌱✨

As a space curator, my work is about editing and reimagining the environments we inhabit. Rather than introducing new, manufactured elements, I source and curate raw materia prima to bring a fresh, structural narrative to a home. For one of my latest clients, I curated this vintage multi-pane wooden window frame to serve as a custom divider between the kitchen and dining room.

The color palette was curated with strict environmental and aesthetic intent. I selected a velvety dark charcoal gray matte for the outer wooden structure to enclose the inner window frame, which sits in a rich, warm deep chickpea matte. To protect the health of the home, I specified strictly zero-VOC eco-friendly finishes.

By preserving the original antique metal latch, the piece functions as a living bridge between past and present. Placed intentionally over the counter, it filters light beautifully while framing the kitchen activity like a piece of functional window art.

Proof that thoughtful curation and conscious upcycling can completely alter the architecture of a room.

As the season shifts, it’s the perfect time to get creative and refurbish what you already have in the yard. 🌻🌿✨

This hollow frame concept is a great example of upcycling. Instead of buying new winter decor, you can take an old frame, paint it a dramatic dark matte, and press the last of your summer blossoms directly onto the border.

By keeping the center completely hollow, you let the changing autumn and winter landscape do the rest of the work. It’s a resourceful, beautiful way to frame the seasonal decay and turn your shifting garden into a living piece of art.

True harmonie spatiale does not stop at the window pane. It breathes in the damp air beneath the mountain redwoods, resting on a weathered timber table where the boundary between architecture and forest completely dissolves.

Un dialogue tranquille unfolds in the morning shadows, inches from the rich, fragrant forest floor. A dark stone Buddha, elevated on a rugged slab of raw flagstone, acts as a grounding anchor against the wild, towering vertical lines of the trees.

Flanking this heavy stillness is the vibrant materia prima of a potted succulent and the cheerful, casual pop of a striped gourd. This arrangement serves as a physical tether to the damp mountain loam—a poignant reminder that l'art de vivre means tending to the threshold between inside refuge and the untamed outside world. 🌿🍁

In this small outdoor corner, the ancient rhythm of the redwood earth bridges the gap between the sanctuaireof the home and the sanctuary of oneself. Un retour aux sources where the morning dew rises, the leaf mold turns, and the mind settles seamlessly into the changing season. ⏳✨
