🌱Scapes are starting to appear on some of our varities! These would be the propogating stalk of the garlic, if left in place for the life of the plant. However, we'll cut them off once they make their first full curl and that will encourage the plant to send its energy back into bulb formation! Scapes are completely edible and delicious! We'll post some of our favorite ways to prepare them, so be sure to check back after we are able to pick some! 🧄🤘

This garlic🧄has sure been tested these last few weeks!
From record-breaking rainfall 🌧️ in April, to frost warning 🌬️nights in May, it has withstood a lot so far!

The yellowing tips are to be expected with the wild weather flucutations we've had. The new growth is green and healthy 🌱

📢🌱Garlic growing update!🌱📢 It's been a month since our last post and WOW! We are blown away by how much these cloves have grown! And not just because it's windy 💨seemingly all the time these days....

🌡️ Yesterday we got a taste of spring-like warmth here in Wisconsin—felt amazing! ☀️ But today? Back to classic “March madness” weather 🌧️ ❄️
Our hardneck garlic is loving every minute of this cold, though! 🧄💪 These tough guys need that winter freeze. It triggers the big, flavorful bulbs we all crave come summer.
We are seeing those vibrant green shoots pop out of the mulch and theyll continue to get larger when spring finally sticks around 🌱➡️☀️
No matter how wild the weather swings, our garlic is built for it. Can’t wait to see them explode in the coming season! Who’s ready for fresh local hardneck garlic harvests?! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️

We've had quite the snowfall so far in SE WI! We've gotten well over a foot of snow and it has blanketed our new garlic farm in a frosty quilt. We have thousands of cloves tucked in tight with straw, preparing for the wintery season ahead, dreaming of the warmth of spring to come. 🌨️❄️☃️

We’re enjoying winter’s quiet beauty: icicles on the barn, intensely colored sunrises, and snow all around. Even in winter, this place is amazing. 🌬️

We’re thrilled to introduce everyone to our brand-new garlic farm! 🧄🧄🧄 Grown with sunshine ☀️, rain 🌧️, and wonderful Wisconsin soil 🌱, we’ll have several hardneck varieties to choose from come late summer 2026. We can’t wait to share them all with you!

We checked on some of our little 🧄 babies this morning underneath the blanket of straw just to make sure things are going well. We found:
1️⃣ Well-rooted cloves; not easy to move/pull
2️⃣ Tiny little shoot means they'll be ready to fully sprout in the spring
3️⃣ Doing just fine 🙂

We're ready for the snow! ❄️☃️
