Fossy's Folly Farms It all started when I wanted some fresh milk for my coffee. I decided to buy a milk goat!! I test yearly for CL, CAE and Johne's.

My foundation goats all came from quality milking lines that are registered with ADGA and MDGA.

I did not realize that I was so behind on all the goat happenings around here!! I think I am all caught up. The girls that have been bred so far this year are Satara, Timbavati's doeling and Seronga. Satara was pushing half a gallon of milk a day on her last freshening. I will be happy with that this year. Seronga is a good producer as well. This will be the young doeling's (Londalozi) first litter. I am anxious to see what kind of udder she will have. First kids are due the end of March!!! Can't wait!

I bred Linyanti's doe to Twinkle. She had two little bucklings on 8/20/2025. She turned out to be a terrible mother and self nurser!! Her mom had never weaned her, so when she was locked in a stall away from her mom after her kids were born, she began drinking her own milk!!!! I had such high hopes for this girl!! You can't have a milk goat that drinks her own milk!!! She went to the same home that several of my wethers went to. Both of her boys have been wethered and I still have them here.

While I was at it I brought in a new little doe. Her sire is also The Blue Legend and her dam is Ranchocabra Pippi. She has pretty blue eyes as well. Hoping she will bring a lot of milk to the herd. Her name is Callisto.

I added a new buck to my herd. Twinkle. His sire is The Blue Legend, a Nigerian dwarf and his dam is one of Diva's girls, Nambia. I sold her to a friend who lives way up near Boone, NC. He has pretty blue eyes and his daddy has strong milk genes. Hopefully he will be a good addition to the farm.

Diva had a hard time this past year. I almost lost her. She developed pregnancy toxemia the last 2 and half weeks before she was due. She got down and could not get up. Vet came out and decided to terminate her pregnancy. Vet told me the babies would not be viable. However things turned out ok for Diva and the babies. She had them 3 days later and though they were premature, they made it ok. Diva regained her strength and the babies are doing great. She had one buckling and one doeling. There was a snag with the boy!! His family jewels did not descend because he was premature so he is considered a cryptorchid. He is my first blue eyed baby and cannot be used for breeding because of this.

Satara had her babies on 4/12/2025. 2 bucklings and one doeling. Both boys were wethered and all went to good homes.
