One of last years chonky birds hitting the smoker this afternoon.

Our first batch of broilers chicks arrive this week, which is good, as our freezer is starting to get low!

What's everyone else up to on this magnificent Sunday afternoon?

Not bad for a first run considering how slow the saps been running! First season with a RO bucket RB15 , which has made a WORLD of difference in how quickly I process! Weathers going to be too warm to process the next few days for a run, but we should be right back into it this weekend!

After a nice little holiday break, its time to get back at it!

50 taps went in this weekend with about 80 more to go. Still need to get some buckets and bulk storage container cleaned out, and get the rest of the taps out. But we should be boiling by the weekend!

I am currently working on my processing schedule now. I should have it available for booking by end of month.

300 broilers and 36 turkeys on tap for our farm this year with a garden expansion project slated for the spring.

Going to be another busy year, and I am certainly looking forward to it!

Hope you all have been well! What work are you planning or doing right now around your farm/homestead?

Now that I have had a little down time, wanted to recap turkeys and the processing season in general. First things first, a huge thank you to my wife, I spent the majority of my weekends this summer and fall away from home. You held the fort down with a fraction of the support you typically get from me, and without you, I could not persue building this buissness and farm. I am the luckiest man alive to have a wife who supports my dreams like you do. Secondly, thank you to all the customers I processed for this year. Returning, or new its been a pleasure to meet and work with all of you. I look forward to next processing season!

I did 150 turkeys between November 20th and the 25th. Largest single bird i did was 38lbs, with many above 30, most between 20 and 29lbs. Few pictures below with some of the finished products.

Now time to take some time to recuperate, spend time with my wife and kids (hopefully get out on the ice to fish) start planning for our personal chickens and turkeys, our garden and a few other farm upgrades (New whole house water filtration system)and get ready for maple season 2026!

About halfway through this week long grind, but I'm feeling good and ready to get some turkeys ready for Thanksgiving! I have been pretty quiet this season, its been busy to say the least. About 5 weeks left of processing season until I shut down for cold weather. Pretty proud with how this year has gone, learned a lot of lessons, and will be making adjustments for 2026. My apprentice Killian and I did 61 freedom Rangers on Sunday for a farm in Grantham, NH. We averaged 20 birds per hour to get them on ice. Total job took us 8 hours and 45 minutes from the moment we arrived until we were pulling out. 20 whole wrapped and 41 parted and vac sealed. Those are numbers I am happy with! We have a break for New Hampshire's deer youth weekend this weekend, to try to get Killian, and my oldest son Ben a deer. After that we are back with a good sized job in Danbury, NH and processing at my home November 8th and 9th. If you have turkeys and chickens you need done, reach out i may be able to sneak you in!

Now that processing season is slowing down for a bit, I have some time to post here. Its been a great season, a busy one thats for sure. Spent labor day weekend putting up some local corn and tomatoes, and making some homemade chicken bone broth. First time with a pressure canner and It was so simple.

Did some typical vechicle maintenance, processed some firewood and did a 45 bird job.

Also got a few bear bait barrels out for the first time!

Been a busy one here, but with bear season open today and deer and turkey season 2 weeks from tomorrow. It'll be nice to have a break to get into the woods!

Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend!
