God is so good!! We have needed to get a "real " milk machine for some time. The one we have been using has served us well but not something we wanted long term. We were able to get a simple pulse, she's all cleaned up and works well. We have to buy some hoses for it but we have a legit machine and are so excited!

We are pretty excited to get some of these girls bred for fall babies!! The rest will be bred for spring. We didn't show as much this past year as years before. We needed to readjust our herd ...let some go , bring in new blood lines. Boy did it pay off with kids from this year! Lexi is excited about her Nigerians again!!

Round #2

Monday is still throwing hands at us! 😂 At this point we and the neighbors are laughing. John and I ran to town to get prints for my business and as we pulled In the drive.....we see one of our Lamanchas eating on tree branches. But there isn't a tree she can reach in the front pasture. Nope the other half of what appeared to be a healthy tree fell on our fence again! The neighbors were already out there getting ready to start chopping it up. So, we joined in and cut another massive part of the tree. Our poor momma goats don't want to leave their barn. They have plenty of small branches and leaves to last them a bit. Even gave some to the boys and the girls in the front!

What a Monday! Neighbors tree fell into our mommas area. I don't think Lexi and I have ever run so fast in our lives. All the mommas are fine. Athena was so scared she wouldn't come out of the lean to. Lexi went in after her we got them all moved. Next step...call the hubby! He left work and was heading home when he had a blow out. I left to help him, the neighbors came out and saw and they started cutting the tree . When we finally got home John had to help with one more big branch and repair our fence. All is good now. But man what a way to start the day. Time for a shower.

Look at those fat and happy goats! They are living their best lives right now. It's the off season for shows and I think they know it. They aren't as on guard when I go in the pasture lol 😆 But little do they know in 6 days it's shaving day for these girls. We did the mommas and babies this past weekend.

We had a great time at The Parker County Stock Show! Besides the banners and beautiful buckle. Lexi also earned prize money, 2- 1st place tags, and 2- 2nd place tags. And it wasn't terrible weather wise either. We had a nice breeze in the morning and the humidity was tolerable. lol

We give God all the Glory for all He has done thru Lexi and for Lexi's goat herd!
