Has anyone had a turkey tom go broody? I have read it is not common, so I think my guy is confused. 🤣 He is real protective when I move poults in the yard, so now that they have grown up, I guess he wants to be a daddy again. And to anyone who asks, yes, he is a tom. I have seen him breed and I have poults from him.
He keeps trying to sit on one egg after one of the chickens lays it, so I decided to give him a few more bym eggs and watch to see if he successfully hatches chicks. Hopefully he doesn't crush the eggs. 😬
I plan on giving him some straw for bedding in a bit, so I will video that and document his journey to see if he makes it to hatch day. 🤞
