THANK YOU, CASS COUNTY!

What an incredible fair! A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, check out the bees, talk beekeeping, grab some honey, or simply say hi. Your support means more than you know!

And one of the absolute BEST parts?! Seeing so many of you walking around the fair in your Joel Bees gear! 🥹🐝 Seriously… how cool is that?! Every hat and shirt spotted in the crowd was a reminder of just how amazing this community has been at supporting a young local beekeeper and his growing business.

But honey season isn't over yet!

Keep an eye on the Joel Bees page! Fall extraction will be here before we know it, and this is where I will share all the updates on the fall honey harvest, extraction, and when fresh honey will be available!

It takes a village... and in this case, a bee chain.

If you look closely at the picture, you'll see one of the coolest things bees do. Those girls have linked themselves together to form a living chain while they build brand new comb. It's one of the many ways they work together as a team to create something incredible.

Did you know bees actually make every bit of wax themselves? They don't collect it from flowers or trees. Worker bees produce tiny flakes of wax from special glands on their bodies, then work together to build the perfectly engineered honeycomb we all recognize.

This fresh white comb is what will eventually be filled with delicious raw honey and, if everything goes according to the bees' plan, become cut comb honey.

I'm hoping to have fresh cut comb honey ready for the Cass County Fair in August. Now all we need is plenty of nectar, plenty of pollen... and maybe a few well-timed rains. My girls have the work ethic covered. Nature just needs to do her part!

You all showed up in a big way, and because of your incredible support, Joel Bees Premium Raw Honey is officially SOLD OUT!

I can't thank everyone enough for supporting my business. It means so much to me and makes all the hard work worth it.

Don't worry though... the bees are already hard at work making more!

I'll be back with fresh honey at the Cass County Fair. Stop by and see me in the air conditioned building. I can't wait to see everyone there!

Until then... it's back to the bee yard for me!
