Did you know rabbit is a novel protein? What is a novel protein you may ask. Essentially a novel protein is a protein source that is new to your pet. If you’re fur baby is experiencing constant scratching and licking with no clinical signs of fleas or mites you might wanna consider it’s diet. Many of our pets have developed allergies to the common proteins used in commercialized kibble. The basic symptoms of a protein allergy show up in the skin, anything from scratching and licking, constant dermatitis, or even as far as skin lesions without any visible known source. However protein allergies can also show up in an unhealthy G.I. track giving your fur baby constant stomach issues.
