Everyone meet Olaf. He is a gorgeous Silkie Rooster that will be paired up with our white Silkie Hen Violet for the spring hatching season. PM us with interest for chicks and hatching eggs đź’•

All new chickens to the farm are quarantined for a short time to ensure the continued health of our flock. Olaf is hanging in a temporary pen in the basement at the moment. He will be here a little longer than normal due to the sudden drop in temperature outside. It’s not kind nor healthy for the birds to experience such drastic temperature drops. They can cause stress, respiratory and GI issues and in extreme cases shock and death. So Olaf is enjoying the warmth of the basement until temps outside rise again. Truthfully none of us mind because he sure is cute and has the best personality.

Our hardworking girls have slowed way down laying eggs for winter. We probably won’t be posting for a while. We don’t use artificial lights etc to force them to lay during winter months and allow them to take their natural and much needed break. We are so thankful for everyone who has supported us this first year. We will start posting available eggs as soon as the girls start laying more again. If you’re looking for eggs, please still feel free to message us, they are still laying, just not as many extra for us to have enough to post.
