Jerk Chicken, all of the flavor, not too much heat! Of course, you can always kick up the heat if you want which we plan to do next time. This is a great summer recipe you’ll want to make over and over again! You could use the marinade on whole chickens or chicken parts for barbecuing. I served it with my new Watermelon Salad. Comment RECIPE and I’ll DM you.

We keep it simple and have a homemade protein shake most mornings, starting the day off light & healthy. I make them the night before, chill them in the fridge and they are ready to go in the morning.

I use this brand of unflavored protein powder. It took a lot of trial and error to find one that wasn’t chalky.

I blend it in the Vitamix with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and different combinations of frozen fruits & bananas (fresh) - peaches, mangos, blueberries, strawberries, & black cherries. Sometimes I make a coffee based one with 2 cups black coffee, 1 cup almond milk, 2 bananas and 4 scoops of protein powder. This makes 2 large smoothies. Otherwise I use 3 cups almond milk, 4 scoops protein powder and a combination of fruits. I use about 8oz of frozen fruit. Sometimes I mix fresh bananas with frozen fruit. Yes, you can use fresh fruit all around. I find it easier to use frozen. That way I always have some in the freezer ready to go and I don’t have to worry about it going bad. You just have to watch out for those darn bananas! 😂

I make them the night before and put them in these Blender Bottles. If you are only making one smoothie, just cut everything in half. Those are them in our fridge next to our cold brew coffee which will be another post! Tomorrow’s is mixed berries!

In case anyone is wondering what happened with the great mayonnaise debate a couple of weeks ago, I haven’t forgotten! I’ve been so busy cooking and planning, I haven’t had time to actually sit down and do the taste test. I want to give it the proper time & attention it deserves. 😂😂😂 Don’t worry, you’ll all be the first to know once I do!

Also, time to get excited! I’ve got some new recipes planned this week!
