I snapped this picture of a bee on one of the sunflowers I planted, and it’s such a simple reminder of what regenerative agriculture can look like.

Over the years, as we’ve changed the way we manage our farm, we’ve noticed more bees, more insects, and more life in our pastures.

We rotate our animals.

We give the grass time to rest and recover.

We work to keep living roots in the ground.

We encourage more plant diversity.

And all of those things help create habitat and food for pollinators like this little bee. 🐝

𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗦.

It’s about improving the soil, supporting the plants, creating habitat, and working with the land instead of against it.

And sometimes you can see the results in something as small as a bee sitting on a sunflower. ❤️🌻🐝

Fresh grass. Sunshine. Bugs to scratch for. Room to move around and act like chickens.

Our meat chickens are raised outside on pasture, and their tractors are moved regularly so they have fresh ground underneath them.

It takes more work than keeping chickens in one place.

But this is how we want to raise them.

We want to know how the animals that feed our family and yours are raised, what they eat, and what their days actually look like.

And when you buy chicken from our farm, you get to know that too. ❤️
