I have yet to respond to the recent tornados that devastated our area. I simply have had a hard time processing this. We took the kids out of town for Spring Break on Friday. We were in our hotel room watching as the storm moved through our hometown. We were reaching out to family members and making sure they were safe. The feeling of being hours away as the weather man specifies YOUR home and family and friends was a nightmare. My parents lost a barn and several huge walnut trees. Our new home we have been working tirelessly on for 6 months was in the direct path. Thank God, our house was minimally affected. We have a little cleanup and repair, but nothing compared to our neighbors. Our old homestead was heart wrenching to see. It was total devastation. I thank God our family, friends, neighbors and fellow Howell Valley community is alive. My heart breaks for those who have lost it all. Cleanup is going to be a process and I am so grateful we live in a community that is already doing so much to help those affected. Many of us still do not have power, but we will get there. Our Howell Oregon Electric crews are simply incredible. Sending so much love to you all!
