11 weeks old, off heat, have been free ranging each day for 5 hrs or so for about a week now.

I have a 2-3 day old chick, I believe it’s a pullet, hatched with a slightly crooked neck. She is not from our lines, and I will not be able to use her for breeding because I do t know if her neck is a genetic thing or not. She came from a dark brown egg with speckles, but breeder says she is not pure Marans.

I am willing to give her away if someone has chicks they are raising purely for eating eggs and can integrate her into their brooder.

Or I have a couple others I’d sell along with giving her away for a trio.

Please let me know. She is very sweet as I’ve been handling her a lot and giving her extra nutrients to see if I can help straighten it out.

Our popcorn makers are poppin’ off with hatching peep pods!
The eggs we won from a fundraising waffle to help get a new project goat for Hens, Hooves & Honey Homestead are giving us some adorable little peeps! So far, of the 15 “Hens” eggs that made it to lockdown, 8 have hatched 🐣 and one of our own homebred 🥰 sorry none of the “hen’s pullets” will be offered. I will offer cockerels once I am certain of their s*x.

The little blue OE chick I’m holding is homebred! Such a cute little chubby cheeked chonk! That chick is available! Offering as “Straight run.” Must go with a minimum of 3 chicks. If pullet, she will produce Green and possibly ombré! I will have another OE and 2 Langshans available from our flock.

Thank you, Lord! Add “hay growers” to our farm production and resumes! Our first ever hay produced off our big pasture is well on its way to being baled! Cannot wait to see how the horses enjoy it!

Hay field #1
Roughly 4 acres in this field.
We split our crop with the hay farmer that bales for us, but what hay we yield goes right back into feeding our animals.

Just some “dirty field shots” of our rescue, Sister, a 24y/o + ish mare, pulled from a kill pen in October ‘25, and Ryan, our 7 y/o AQHA gelding. Some before pics of Sister will be in the comments… she has had quite the “glow up!”

This handsome little cockerel is available to a new coop!

He is a multigen OE coming from heavy bloom and speckled green egg, that was blue based.

He is sweet and curious, and already has the cutest adolescent crow!
