I’m behind on posts; we are heading into a new phase of life and it has been BUSY. 😮‍💨 But gotta stop and enjoy the small things like making your mom a simple Snoopy cake for her birthday 🎂

Y’ALL- I have been trying to make an above average chocolate chip cookie since all these allergy shenanigans began…and I think we’re there after like 2 years of trying and recipe tweaking 😭🥹🖤 Couple things to tighten up and these will be MONEY 💰

Having to say goodbye to our building this week is such a hard concept..roller derby for me came at a time when I felt like I had lost a lot of my identity as a new mom. I hadn’t really, I just didn’t have as much time and was chock full of new responsibilities that my youngest child self couldn’t even begin to comprehend. 🤪 While in the throes of anxiety as a new mom, my husband encouraged me to do something for myself. I was watching him play flag football one day and a desire for adult sports arose and a long lost memory of my teenage bucket list came back to me, “you should learn to play roller derby.” I went home that night and researched it; turns out the next day there was a crash course open house where you could go skate around, ask questions, and get a feel if you wanted to commit to learning. I’m so proud of the anxiety-ridden, exhausted new mom that went, signed up, and has taken hits, falls, injuries, and great triumphs along the way. 🥹 Thank you for all you did for me, Derby Depot. May your spirit carry on in the hearts of the teams, players, refs, volunteers, and community. 🖤

Nothing like actually having the disease that gets special attention on your birthday 🤨 I think I remember seeing this last year when I was still being stubborn about getting tested and thought “that would be some crazy coincidence if it turned out to be what’s going on…” Well here we are a year later…Happy birthday EOE; here’s to actually managing it properly instead of pretending it doesn’t exist. 💪🏻🎉

I love gaining new skills and trying new recipes/concepts, so when the boy asks “Can we make dinosaur sugar cookies?,”you know we’re going to make dinosaur sugar cookies. 😏 And then my perfectionist soul tells me to try harder next time 🤣 I’m sure there will be another attempt in the near future 👀
