The best time to plant the winter crops was 2 weeks ago…the second best time is NOW! Goodbye tomato plants, hello carrots, arugula, mustard greens, baby kale, baby chard, cilantro, parsley, etc!

Winter lettuce and spinach will go into the other greenhouse at the end of September/early October…

In the midst of bed flips, but we’re pretty w**d free…because we have a w**d guy! He does a GREAT job, he’s a friend, and you’re not stealing him from us!! I was chatting with another (now former) farmer in northern CO and w**ds are an issue for the folks who have taken over ops on his farm. If you stay ahead of things, you’ll be in good shape! Weeding is approximately 12-15 hours a week on our small farm…this other farmers farm is about 10x the size of ours, lol
