Today marked our 33rd annual family bass tournament aka “CT Bass Classic. If you look closely, the trophy tells an amazing story through 3 generations started by my Uncle Juergen in 1994 of our annual family competition and the day we come together to laugh, eat too much junk food, and bust chops all while trying to catch a bass. Today was no different and we were blessed again, being able to share this day together. Today Mark Jr took first place and the trophy home for the year and as the first member of the “new gen” to with the tournament. Great job Mark Jr!

This week, I got to spend a tide with Steve and his son Oli. Steve grew up fishing in Weekapaug as a kid and made for great conversation swapping fish stories about our beautiful waters. We had a great day and caught the SoCo fishing triple summer slam!

Chris and Tate from VT joined me this evening and got a really nice fish. It was a perfect capper to a great week of local inshore fishing!
