Apple 🍎 🍏 picking is continuing… this week we added delicious Northern Spy and Crispin Mutsu to the collection. It’s a good time to think about a mix for your baking and applesauce or apple butter. We were pleasantly surprised with an amazing sweet potato 🍠 harvest! I know some of you have been waiting… different varieties will be available Saturday, including a white sweet potato. Pick some up along with recipes. We still have a variety of pears and a selection of fall greens. Be sure to grab some very local honey or maple syrup for your fruit and vegetable recipes. There’s a look at the last field of sweet corn this season… we will have plenty of white Silver King for you Saturday. Apple picking is on-going… new to the market this week- Grimes Golden, Dark Red Delicious and Empire. We will be happy to help you select a nice mix of apples for baking and applesauce. And don’t forget all the wonderful pears including newly picked Golden Russet Boscs. Delicious fall greens and sweet potatoes are coming in the near future. Stay tuned! 🍐 As we wait for more apple varieties to be ready to pick, we can enjoy the peak pear 🍐 season. There are 5 delicious European pear varieties for you to choose or try them all. Pears are not just great for snacking and baking, but are very versatile in savory dishes and salads. Check out the free recipes. Also at the market this Saturday will be Gala and Honeycrisp apples, corn, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, potatoes and more.
If you didn’t grab a pumpkin 🎃 last week, there may still be some available for the early birds.

At the market on Saturday there will be something for everyone. If you are still embracing the last days of summer you will find delicious corn, juicy tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and a limited supply of the last peach of the season… “September Snow”! If you are looking to fall you can pick up some delicious apples like Gala and Honeycrisp, choose from 5 varieties of pears including an Asian one, grab some potatoes while they last, try a variety of versatile winter squash and check out the first pumpkins to arrive. New to the market this week… delicious Bartlett pears 🍐, sweet Gala apples for the kids’ lunches and snacks and amazing flavorful Honeycrisp apples 🍎. We will also be stocked with sugary yellow corn 🌽, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, potatoes and nutritious winter squash varieties like butternut, acorn and honeynut. For the plum lovers, we have the last plum of the season… plump Presidents. More seasonal recipes will be showing up week by week, so be sure to check them out. See you tomorrow at the market!

Delicious white corn at the market tomorrow as well as white peaches, tomatoes, eggplant, Lima beans, peppers of all kinds, potatoes and more. Can’t believe this is the last Saturday of August! September is almost here and that means we will probably be picking some apples and pears this week. Stay tuned for an update on what will be arriving in the market for next Saturday. Yellow peaches 🍑 are going fast, so don’t miss out! New to the market this Saturday… fresh off the vine Lima beans. In addition to peaches, plums and Dandee Red apples we will have delicious white Glacial corn, peppers of all kinds, tomatoes, eggplant, gold, redskin and white potatoes, cucumbers and more.
