Its mid january and the yard is starting to wake up already. The peaches, strawberries and blueberries are blooming and setting, the blackberries, raspberries and boysenberries have been dead headed and are ready to go. The garden has been hay mulched and ready for the corn, beans, peas, peppers, squash and tomatoes that are already sprouting from the seeds I planted on the first. In a month, I'll have some yummy rhubarb. The bees are starting to lay more eggs to quadruple thier numbers for summer pollinating. I so love getting ready for spring !!!!!!

Many are visiting my page looking to see where i will be selling this spring, but no boutiques have been posted in my area as yet. I have started making the spring jams, but have no where to take them. If you wish to purchase, we can arrange a meeting place to do the transaction. I will however be out of state for two weeks until the 26th. Hope to have an event lined up by the time I return.

My peach tree has been VERY good to me this year. I'll be spending the day cutting them up and freezing for future jams, pies and ice cream toppings.

All of this recent rain is having a positive effect on all of my fruits and vegetables. The peach, apricot and nectarine tree has already started blooming. I am already harvesting Rhubarb and some of the peppers that I grow. The blackberries, Blueberries and boysenberries have new leaves emerging and the blossoms will not be far behind. I am looking forward to the boutiques this spring where I can share all of my great products with everyone.

First picking of the season today. Blueberries are huge and lots more going to be ready to pick over the next few weeks. Peaches are not to big yet, but picked a few to thin the tree so the rest can get bigger.
