We get asked all the time, “Do you guys grow your own peppers?”

The short answer? Nope.

The slightly longer answer? We’d need a whole dang FARM to grow the amount of peppers we go through making our sauces. And while we love a good side quest, becoming full-time pepper farmers isn’t exactly in the cards.

Luckily, we have some pretty awesome friends who know a thing or two about growing good produce!

Shoutout to Pleasant Hill Produce and Ben and his crew for growing high-quality peppers right here in Maryland! They’ve got the land, the team, and the green thumbs to help keep our sauce operation running hot.

At BroHo Sauce Co, we’re all about supporting local, and partnering with other Maryland small businesses is something we’re damn proud of. Good people growing good peppers that turn into good sauce? THAT’S A WIN-WIN, BABY!

So the next time you’re sweating over a bottle of BroHo, just remember: those peppers got some Maryland sunshine before they ever made it into your sauce. ☀️🌶️

One of our favorite things about events and festivals is the camaraderie amongst other small business owners. People who are always there to help, understand your plight, and are just all around genuinely good people.

Yesterday in true Broho fashion we were short a tablecloth. Justin and Nicole from the The Curated Cake Co. came right over and lent us one without hesitation. Thank you!!! (And check out how amazing their set up is and how perfect everything is branded. Nicole is definitely a woman after Shannon’s heart!)

To every small business owner we have run into through the years who has watched our booth while we ran to the bathroom, who has bought our sauce, who tells their friends about us, who likes and shares our posts, THANK YOU!! We love you, appreciate you, and we are rooting for you!!!!!

BROHO SERIES: WHO THE HECK IS BROHO?!

You’ve seen the bottles.
You’ve tasted the sauce.
You’ve possibly questioned your life choices after eating the sauce.

But now it’s time to meet the goofballs —I mean visionaries—behind the whole operation.

“BroHo?”
“Who’s BroHo?”
“Is that some kind of 80s hair band?”

NOPE.

BROHO = Brothers Howard

Meet Jake & Matt — two Maryland brothers, Dads,lifelong best friends, hot sauce enthusiasts, and the creative masterminds behind BroHo Sauce.

Basically, if The Goonies, Back to the Future, and Wayne’s World got together, had a couple of beers, and decided to start a hot sauce company… you’d get BroHo. 😂

These two have been brothers since birth and best friends by choice—which is impressive considering they’ve probably spent the last 30+ years annoying the absolute hell out of each other.

Jake: “I have an idea.”

Matt: “This is probably a terrible idea.”

Jake: “Hear me out…”

BROHO SAUCE WAS BORN. 🌶️

And much like Marty McFly, we have absolutely no idea how we got here… but somehow we’re doing pretty damn well. 😂

There’s been NO SHORTAGE OF HELP along the way, either.

A huge BroHo shoutout to our Uncle Andrew, who helped make this crazy little dream happen. Every great 80s movie needed the wise mentor, and Uncle Andrew was basically our Mr. Miyagi.

“Wax on. Wax off.”

Except ours is more like:

“Bottle it. Label it. Move those boxes. Sell more sauce!”

And then there are our other friends and family — the true MVPs.

The people who have helped us make sauce, move stuff, set up at events, sell bottles, spread the word, taste-test batches, give us ideas, share our posts, and generally enable this nonsense.

You guys are the Ghostbusters to our Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. ❤️

We couldn’t have done this without you.

So, if you’ve ever bought a bottle…

Shared a post…

Dragged your friends over to our booth…

Tried a sauce and immediately started sweating…
