One of the interesting things about a beehive is that the bees don't just build comb and make honey. They also collect tree resins and turn them into propolis, which they use to seal cracks and help protect their home. It's not the part of the hive that gets the most attention, but it serves an important purpose.

Our lives are much the same. We often focus on the big things we want to accomplish, but sometimes it's the small, everyday decisions that make the biggest difference. The time we spend in God's Word, the conversations we have with our family, the kindness we show others, and the choices we make when nobody is watching all help shape the foundation of our lives.

“He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20

The people we surround ourselves with and the influences we allow into our lives matter. Just as bees work to protect their colony, we should be intentional about protecting our faith and surrounding ourselves with people who encourage us to grow closer to God.

The bee yard looks a little different when the seasons change. What was busy and full of activity a few months ago begins to slow down. The flowers change, the weather changes, and the bees begin preparing for what's ahead.

Life has seasons too. Some seasons are busy and exciting, while others seem quiet and slow. Sometimes we understand what God is doing, and sometimes we don't. But a change in season doesn't mean God has stopped working.

“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?”
Isaiah 43:19

Whatever season you're in today, don't wish it away. There is something God can teach us, something He can grow in us, and something He can accomplish through us in every season.

Have a blessed Sunday!

One thing the bee yard has a way of reminding us is that time doesn't stand still. The seasons change, the bees change, and before you know it, another year has passed. There's always another season coming, which means there's no sense in putting off everything that matters until “someday.”

The same is true in our lives. We aren't promised an unlimited amount of time, so we shouldn't take today for granted. There are people to encourage, things to accomplish, forgiveness to give, and most importantly, a relationship with God to grow.

“So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12

We can't slow the clock down, but we can choose how we use the time we've been given. Don't wait for the perfect day to do something that matters. Make today count.

Have a blessed Sunday!

If you look closely at the entrance of a hive, you'll usually find a few bees standing guard. They're not out gathering nectar or making honey. Their job is to protect the colony and make sure anything coming into the hive belongs there.

There's a lesson in that for us. We have to be careful about what we allow into our hearts and minds. Not everything that comes our way deserves a place in our lives. The things we watch, listen to, dwell on, and allow to influence us can shape us more than we realize.

The Bible says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Just like those guard bees at the entrance of the hive, we need to pay attention to what we're letting in. Protect your heart, protect your faith, and be intentional about the things you allow to take up residence in your life.

One of the hardest parts of beekeeping is waiting. You can put a queen in a hive, give the bees what they need, and do everything you know to do right, and then you still have to wait. You can't open the hive every day expecting to see a finished result. Some things simply take time.

Life with God can be that way too. We pray, we work, we make the best decisions we can, and sometimes we wonder why we aren't seeing the results yet. But just because we can't see what's happening doesn't mean God isn't working.

“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

If you're waiting on something today, don't lose heart. Keep doing your part, keep trusting God, and remember that some of the most important things happen before we ever get to see the results.

There’s something rewarding about working with bees because you don’t always get to see the results of your work right away. You check the hives, make adjustments, give the colonies what they need, and then you wait. Over time, that steady work begins to show.

Our walk with God can be much the same. We’re called to be faithful with what He has placed in our hands, even when we can’t see the results yet. We may plant the seed, water it, and care for it, but God is the One who brings the growth.

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”
1 Corinthians 3:6

Whatever God has entrusted to you, your family, your work, your relationships, or your faith, keep being faithful. The results are in His hands.

Have a blessed Sunday and a wonderful week ahead!

Beekeeping has a way of teaching you that problems are a lot easier to deal with when you catch them early. Hive beetles may be small, but if you ignore them, they can quickly become a much bigger problem for a colony.

Life can be that way too. There are little things that can slowly steal our peace, distract us from what matters, or weaken our faith if we aren't paying attention. Sometimes we need to recognize those things, deal with them, and make sure we're protecting what God has entrusted to us.

"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13

Stay watchful, stand firm, and keep your eyes on the things that matter most.

Have a blessed Sunday and a great week ahead!

Sometimes the most important work is happening before we can see the results. In the bee yard, a tiny egg tucked away in a cell doesn't look like much. But given the right care, time, and conditions, it will become another bee that plays an important role in the life of the colony.

Our lives can be much the same. God may be working behind the scenes in ways we don't yet understand. What looks small or insignificant today may be the beginning of something much greater tomorrow.

We don't always have to see the finished picture. Sometimes we simply have to trust the One who does.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7

Whatever season you're in today, keep trusting, keep growing, and keep walking by faith. Have a blessed Sunday! 🐝🙏

There's something about watching a colony of bees work together that reminds us how much the little things matter. Every bee has a part to play, and together those small efforts become something much bigger.

People are much the same. We never really know what someone else may be carrying, and sometimes a kind word, a little patience, or a simple act of encouragement can make a bigger difference than we realize.

As we head into a new week, let's look for opportunities to encourage someone, lend a helping hand, and be a blessing to the people God puts in our path.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
