A lot of people ask us about crystallized honey and think it has gone bad, but that’s actually not true 🍯

Real raw honey naturally crystallizes over time, especially in cooler temperatures. In fact, crystallization is often a good sign that your honey is raw and unprocessed.

The best way to bring it back to liquid is to sit the jar in a pot or bowl of warm water for a little while. Just avoid overheating it, since too much heat can damage the natural qualities of the honey. 🐝

On World Bee Day, we like to think about the bigger picture. A single honeybee will only produce about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her entire lifetime. Every jar on your shelf represents millions of flights, billions of flower visits, and a colony working together like nothing else in nature. That's worth celebrating today. 🍯🐝

What's in the smoker? Pine needles mostly, but if you've got cows, well... let's just say nothing goes to waste on a farm. We like to mix in a little dried cow manure and yep, you heard that right. It burns slow, smokes thick, and keeps the bees calm better than most things we've tried. When your hives are sitting in a pasture full of cows, you learn to use what you've got. At this point, our cows basically work for us. 🐄🔥🐝 Just make sure the manure is dry... trust us on that one. 😄
