Ice is retreating at Squam Creek. Mergansers and Buffleheads on the open water. Almost time to lift some cages. Adding Quahogs in lantern nets to the mix. Will attempt to grow some out for the Islands municipal stock enhancement.

Pending state approval. Going to add a new shell to the mix. The plan is to grow out Quahog seed to a size to big for green crab predation and transfer to the Island for planting to enhance the stock for diggers. I’ll keep a few to grow out for sale as well. They’ll start in these lantern nets to protect them as they grow.
