We are honored to represent Alabama at the Sunbelt Ag Expo this year! Thank you to all our customers, that are more like family, who trust us in supplying your family with locally grown beef! It’s just a small part of our operation but one of the most rewarding!

🌾 Congratulations to Dr. Nealy Barrett and the Barrett family of Bar Neal Farms!

Bar Neal Farms, a fourth-generation pasture-to-plate cattle operation in Elmore County, was honored as the 2025 Alabama Farm of Distinction at the Alabama Farm-City awards luncheon on April 17.

Under the leadership of Dr. Barrett, the farm has grown from a modest start in 1961 (30 acres and a few cattle) into a diversified 2,600-acre enterprise featuring a 600-unit cow-calf herd, 3,500–4,000 stockers through B&B Cattle Co., retained ownership via JNB Livestock, and custom beef sales through River Bend Beef.

Dr. Barrett will now represent Alabama in the Sunbelt Ag Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year contest this fall.

Join us in applauding this outstanding recognition and wishing Dr. Barrett the very best as he represents Alabama!

Final beef orders are for 2025 are filling up fast! Dates typically fill up 3 months in advance so don’t miss out! Here is what we have available:
🍁November- SOLD OUT
🍁December pickup- quarters, halves, whole

The first beef available for 2026 will be March and we are currently taking orders!

8/5/25 Update - All October halves are sold. We still have a few for November 13 processing available!

We have 3 hog halves remaining for processing in early October! 🥓 We are taking deposits now for them. Let us know if you want one! The next batch will go in mid November then we won’t have any more availability until spring 2026.
