Guys! Last night, I did something I have always wanted to do..I made my first ever homemade batch of mozzarella, this is the yield from 1 gallon of milk 😲

My son and I tried it with some pepperoni and, oh my! So delicious 👍

I will say though, it is certainly a labor of love, it took me 2 hours and it definitely is not an easy process! 😰

Tomorrow night, we are making homemade pizza 🍕

🌞🌲Good morning from Porch & Pine Homestead! 🌲🌞

This morning, our sweet Kitkat 🐈‍⬛ (pic 1) is just soaking up the sun and lounging on the porch, and Comet (pic 2), our newest edition at just nearly 5 months old, is causing mahem in the house...while we got some eggs to collect! What a couple of moochers! I can't say I blame Kitkat though, that's exactly what all of us around here love the most about this little slice of heaven.

Our girls have been working very hard lately and I am so thrilled to be able to provide their delicious eggs for you.

*4 dozen brown eggs only available
* I can sell by the half dozen, 1 dozen or dozen and a half
* washed so they *MUST* be refrigerated
* eggs are dated when they were collected

Yay!! Here at Porch & Pine we finally have our first dozen of eggs for sale! I only have one, for now, they just started laying and there are a couple that are late bloomers. Check out the egg on the far left, guaranteed to be a double-yoker, I've already had one egg that was. These will need to be refrigerated as they're washed already and they're dated so you know exactly when they were layed. 🐔🐓

This is 3 days worth and the others haven't started laying just yet. I should be ready to start selling in the next week or so. Go on and get your orders in now, $5/dozen! 🌲🐔
