Yay!! Here at Porch & Pine we finally have our first dozen of eggs for sale! I only have one, for now, they just started laying and there are a couple that are late bloomers. Check out the egg on the far left, guaranteed to be a double-yoker, I've already had one egg that was. These will need to be refrigerated as they're washed already and they're dated so you know exactly when they were layed. 🐔🐓

We officially have egg layers! The eggs are a little small right now but they will get bigger, ours girls are still young. Should be bigger here in a month or so. This is 3 days worth and the others haven't started laying just yet. I should be ready to start selling in the next week or so. Go on and get your orders in now, $5/dozen! 🌲🐔

I just wanted to give an update since finally returning home. I've just been trying to catch up on a few things around the homestead along with other maintenance issues that have popped up. (As a welcome home surprise, of course!) 🤣😅

BUT!

This evening, our chicks got their first taste of freedom after acclimating to their new coop.

They're now around 6 weeks old, some will produce eggs sooner than the others, and our other 4 grown hens will be joining them eventually, but right now, we're just relishing in their cuteness. 🐔🌲
