These ducks are the perfect addition to any farm. They are quiet, friendly and amazing foragers. They are also amazing mothers and can raise HUGE clutches. They are dual purpose and can be raised for meat as well as eggs. These are by far my favorite ducks to have around the farm.

My LGDs get a pretty special diet. I always try to use supplements when I can. I found these H-E-B mobility support dog treats and thought I would give them a try!

They contain salmon, seaweed, glucosamine & Chondrointin, tumeric and fish oil! All super ingredients for these extra large dogs! I also love that they are a high protein, high fat treat that I can feel good about giving them.

I bought them from HEB but you can purchase them on Amazon too!

We aren't able to take vacations so we sometimes take a short drive somewhere that won't take us away from the animals for too long.

Yesterday we decided to visit Mount Carmel. If you have watched any of the Netflix documentaries or even if you were around in the early 90s, then you probably heard about what took place there over 30 years ago.

The pool is still completely intact, as is the vault where the women and children were gassed. They also have remnants of the buried bus like it was shown in "Waco".

Very interesting place to visit. The grounds are nicely kept but there's still a somber, almost eerie feeling being there.
