I got so busy the week of graduation, I never got around to posting the gorgeous eggs I got from HoneyHil Farms - Ella’s Market. I definitely didn't have time for an unboxing video like I had hoped.

I REALLY wanted to add more welsummers to my flock, especially since my last hatch of them yielded me all boys 😅

When I saw these eggs I just had to have them. One dozen welsummer and one dozen backcross olives.

I was kinda rushed to get them in the incubator with everything going on that week so I didn't candle them to check for cracks. However, my favorite big Dino speckled egg had a very obvious crack in it 😣

I had luck with a maran egg that was cracked several weeks back. It cracked while I was trying to get mud off of it but I immediately put wax on it and that was the first egg to hatch successfully in that group! So I thought I would try with this one. So far it looks like it is developing ok! I did end up candling the others and there was 3 more of the welsummer eggs that had hairline cracks so none of those were developing :( maybe if i took them time to check when I first got them, I would've been able to fix them. Or maybe I just have the worse luck with welsummers 😆

I'm glad I take pictures even though I don't have time to post sometimes. Here they are! Along with one row of my very own backcross dark olives to marans 🤗
