CHICKEN PURGE 🐓 My chicken friend Meg texted me to make sure I was still alive since I haven’t run orders or posted in months. April 29th was the day I opened the plant shop, and ironically the same day of my last chicken page post.
In all honesty, my other two businesses have become very demanding and I’m overcommitted. In an effort to scale back and reduce the amount of stress in my life, I’ve made the decision to pause hatching eggs until next spring.
I’ve continued growing out birds and moving forward with my lines behind the scenes, but it’s necessary for me to reduce the number of birds in my flock.
So, I have an offer for someone interested in my egg color line.
I have 8 active laying hens, all 1–2 years old, with a mix of speckled, green, moss, blue and brown egg layers.
The catch: you have to take a 3-year-old hen and two teenage roosters with them.
11 birds total, and they go together.
If you want to build your own flock producing amazing speckles and a variety of egg colors, this is a really solid group to start with. Pm only and only a very small 💵 for rehoming so I know you won’t eat these wonderful hens. 😅 sample of what I’m getting DURING MOLT. They are laying again and doing some magic like always.
