Shoutout Sunday: The Little Things
This week has brought it’s own special stresses and those always make way for special silver linings. Sometimes I don’t feel seen or appreciated. I pull crazy hours and try and bring unique, bold, untraditional food to my local community. I feel like I work twice as hard to earn half as much respect as other bakers. It’s lonely.
But then my best friends tell me how proud of me they are. My other friend, and highly regarded chef said she would never attempt what I do. Another award winning local chef gave me advice about protecting my business and reminded me I’m not just selling rolls, I am building a brand that cannot be replicated.
Even though I don’t have a turnkey or a food truck(yet), I am still fighting every week to bring you my very best all the time. And every week you show up for me. I realized my followers aren’t always loud, and aren’t always blasting on the internet- but neither am I. I’m working, and you are showing up- in the lines , every time.
This shoutout goes to the people who are quietly holding me in regard and holding me up. I love you and appreciate you all more than you will know.
