Rain!

Took advantage of some help this weekend to get the garden beds cleared out. The heat made the garden pretty much a bust this year, but now I can get the rabbit barn cleaned out and get set up for next year!

Our first Love Connection for the 2027 kidding season. Ahika was the first Arapawa born here, and his mom is Mouse, the famous painting goat. The doe is Emerald, one of The Twins. If you've followed Rare Hare for a while you know how much Eric loved The Twins. It feels weird to be making these decisions without talking with him, but I think he would like this pairing!

This was a questionable life choice....

No kittens were harmed in the making of this facebook post. Photographed and shamed, yes; then quickly rescued. 😀😇

Writing his obituary is the hardest thing I have ever done. And it is completely inadequate to describe him in so few words. He was such a force to be reckoned with, and he battled his CLL with such humor and grace and stoicism, that it seemed like this last fight was one he should be able to win, too. Life is too quiet now. I miss him.

View Eric Dean Rapp's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.
