⚠️ Operator Tip: Stronger bleach isn’t better bleach.
A lot of folks think 15–19% hypochlorite gives you “more power,” but in reality it gives you more problems. High‑strength bleach breaks down faster, creates more chlorate, spikes DBPs, and reacts harder with organics before it ever disinfects a drop of water.

12.5% is the sweet spot for stability, safety, and predictable residuals.
If your plant is fighting THMs, chlorate, or unstable chlorine demand, the bleach strength might be the hidden culprit. Stay safe out there, operators.
